Terms of Service
These terms cover the hosted Riva service at rivalabs.ai and this website. The open-source Riva app is covered by its MIT license, not by these terms. By using the hosted service you agree to them.
What these terms cover
"Riva Labs", "we" and "us" mean the team that operates rivalabs.ai. "The service" means the hosted Riva Server dashboard, its APIs and this website.
The Riva app (the riva package and its source on GitHub) is open source under the MIT license. That license governs your use of the app. If you run your own Riva Server, these terms do not apply to it.
Accounts
You need an account to use the hosted dashboard. Keep your sign-in email secure and your organization's API keys secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you add to your organization. Tell us right away if you think an account or key has been compromised.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, to send us data you have no right to share, to probe or overload our systems, to get around limits or access controls, or to access another organization's data. We may suspend access that puts the service or other customers at risk.
Your data
Data your machines send to the service stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't sell it. You can ask us to export or delete it at any time.
Early access and pricing
The hosted Pro / Team service is free during early access. Features may change, and we may introduce paid plans. We will give account holders at least 30 days' notice before any charge applies, and nothing is charged without your agreement.
Calculator and estimates
The Spend Calculator and other cost figures on this site are estimates based on providers' published list prices on the date shown. They are not quotes or financial advice. Check with each provider before making decisions.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", especially during early access. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Riva helps you watch your agents; it does not guarantee it will catch every issue or that agents will behave safely.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms, and we will tell you why where we can. If we shut down the hosted service, we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and email account holders about significant changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
